About Maine sol botanicals-This is what makes us different

Hello there. I'm Katie Sol DeLorme, owner and alchemist behind of all the botanical products you see in this shop.

Born and raised in coastal towns of Maine, I developed a deep connection to Mother Earth and everything outdoors. 

• As an adult this led to studies in health care as a physical therapist, with a unique focus on patient education in self-care and integrative healing. 

• Seeing the limits of traditional medicine, I took a deeper dive into holistic health with certification at both University of Southern Maine and Duke University to become an Integrative Health Coach. 

• With this eye toward natural approaches to health, I studied organic gardening, became trained in permaculture principles and became a beekeeper. Many of my original recipes were influenced by Way of the Earth, a primitive skills school, in Blue Hill, Maine.  Much of this knowledge comes from indigenous people from around the world.

•  I've earned an herbalist certification through Earthwalk School of Herbal Traditions of Rockport, Maine. I am inspired by the power of plants and the gifts of Mother Nature. I practice Medical Herbalism

For years I've made botanical gifts like herbal teas and balms. The start-up of Maine Sol Botanicals is a natural evolution of this joyful journey to bring this wisdom and these products to an expanding community.
